  William Alexander was known by the name of Alex, and was the fourth of twelve children of William Henry Graham and Sarah Ann Pittman. He was married in Marion Co., Mississippi on 25 November 1872 to Margaret A. Beard, the daughter of Francis Beard and Lucy Ann Alexander. Alex was living with family in Marion County, Miss. in 1900, but by 1910 was living in Pike Co., Miss. While he is buried in Knoxo Cemetery in Walthall Co., Miss., his wife is buried in the China Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, also in Walthall Co.
