Three of his daughters were are as follows: Mrs. Walter Saigling, Mrs. Alex Kendrick, and Mrs. Silas L. Harrington, all of Plano. Like his brother-in-law Mr. William Forman II, Mr. Andrews is one of the most successful South Collin farmers, who has acquired a considerable acreage in choice farm land, in South Collin. He bought this fine land years ago at prices ranging from $38.00 to $55.00 per acre.

Thomas Andrews was born on December 29, 1852, in Tylertown, Mississippi. He was the fifth child born to Thompson and Lizzie Pearson Andrews. At age 14, his mother died. That same year he migrated to Texas with relatives. During his early years in Texas he worked as a clerk in a dry goods store and also on a farm near PIano. In 1886, Tom married Susan Ora Forman, daughter of William Forman, who gave the couple 300 acres of farmland as a wedding gift. Tom purchased another 200 acres where he and Ora raised their family. The farm was located where the Huffines Chevrolet dealership stands today.

In addition to farming, Tom was an original stockholder in Farmers and Merchants National Bank. In 1913, he and three other men applied for a charter for The Farmers Gin Company of Plano of which he became a stockholder and board of directors member. He was also a member of the First Christian Church of Plano and served on their board of elders. Tom and Ora had four daughters: Hazel, who died as a young child; Felicia, who married Walter Nicholas Saigling; Alto, who married A.S. Kendrick and Vera, who married Silas M. Harrington. There are four surviving grandchildren: Hazel Tennell of Abernathy, Texas, Ouida Anderson of PIano, W. N. "Buck" Saigling of Princeton (a former Plano ISD trustee), and Tootsie Rush of FarmersviIIe.
