  Rose Evelyn Tynes, 86, of Beaumont, Texas, died Thursday, August 10, 2017. She was born on February 20, 1931, to Tate and Mary Rushing in Walthall County, Mississippi. Rose was retired as a marriage and family counselor. She enjoyed reading, tennis, teaching Sunday school, and was a member of the Junior Forum for many years. Survivors include her husband, Lannis Tynes; her son, Lee Tynes and his wife, Susan, of Lafayette, Louisiana; her daughter, Mary Tynes of Plano, Texas; her grandchildren, Bryce and Brynne Tynes, both of Lafayette, Louisiana; one brother, Donald Rushing of Pensacola, Florida; and one sister, Pat Odenwald of Gloster, Mississippi. A gathering of Mrs. Tynes’ family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m. with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 13, 2017, at Broussard’s Mortuary, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, Texas. Visitation will continue at Brown Funeral Home in Liberty, Mississippi, Tuesday, August 15, from 1:00 P.M. until time of services at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
