  Graveside services for J C Rushing, formerly of Tylertown and Brookhaven, were 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Rushing Cemetery. The Rev. Bendon Ginn officiated. Capps Funeral Home in Tylertown was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Rushing, 80, died Dec. 17, 2011, at Aston Court Retirement Community in McComb. He was born in Tylertown on Aug. 23, 1931, to Thad Ellis and Mattie Smith Rushing. He was a member of Easthaven Baptist Church in Brookhaven. He was also a Mason and a Shriner. Mr. Rushing was a maintenance mechanic retired from Georgia Pacific and he loved to fish and garden. Preceding him in death were his parents; and brothers, Jerry Rushing and Al Rushing. Survivors are his son, Michael Rushing and wife, Charemon, of Silver Creek; daughter, Tammy Diasselliss and husband, Jim, of John's Creek, Ga.; grandchildren, Benjamin Rushing, Erin Rushing and Jaime Diasselliss; brother, Harlon Rushing and wife, Janell, of Norco, La.; sister, Willie Nell Whittington, of Tylertown and Betty Sanford, of Memphis, Tenn.; and many nieces and nephews.
