      Clayton Williams, 90, of Lubbock passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 in Lubbock. He was born August 29, 1925 in Hillsboro to Walter Sinclair and Florence (Bunch) Williams.

      He grew up in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School. After high school, he entered the U.S. Army and fought for his country during World War II in Germany. When he returned to Hillsboro, he graduated from Hill Junior College.

      In 1952 Clayton married the love of his life, Ruth Jordan and she preceded him in death on February 11, 2009. He managed a cotton gin and grain elevators in Kress for a while, before owning and operating his own cotton gin in Tulia. Along with being an avid football and baseball fan, he also loved watching his children play sports. His church membership belonged to the Church of Christ in Kress and Tulia.

      Preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Survived by his son, Jerry Clayton Williams; daughter, Lisa Gaye Marmolejo and son, Gary Don Williams and his grand children.

      Funeral Services will be Monday, October 26, 2015 at the chapel in Hillsboro. Visitation will be just prior to the service. Burial will be at Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Hillsboro.
