  Died 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 1992, at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary. She was 65, a native of Mississippi, a resident of Zachary and a former resident of Gloster, Miss. Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home, Zachary, 9 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Thursday, conducted by Dr. Eddie Simmons and Dr. Harry Boyd. Burial in Netterville family cemetery, Woodville, Miss., at noon Thursday. Survived by husband, James Alvie Bowman, Zachary; stepmother, Willie Mae Thomas, Gloster; three daughters, Minnie Jean Simpkins, St. Francisville, Judy Gurney, Liberty, Miss., and Linda McKenzie, Biloxi, Miss.; a son, Douglas Holloway Netterville, Jackson; two sisters, Willie Mae Beck, Baton Rouge, and Christine McAllister, Zachary; three brothers, Prentice Thomas, Baker, Roy Thomas, Liberty, and James Thomas, Gloster; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by first husband, Holloway Netterville; a granddaughter, Angela Darlene Sumerall; father, John Thomas; and a brother, John Thomas Jr. She was a member of St. Francisville Baptist Church.
