    • James Creel of Hackley, died at his home, Wednesday, September 6th, 1916, born in Jones County Miss.

      8-9-1849 He came to Washington Parish at the age of 15. He married Cassandra Emily Blackwell 46 years ago. His aged wife, two sons John and Wiley, 3 daughters, Mary, Nancy and Cyntha, all whom married Thomas' survive him, also 2 sisters one being Holly O'Brien.
      He was a member of the Lawrence Creek Baptist Church. Interment at the Nobles Graveyard. Rev.C.T. Corkern conducted the services.
