He was a retired bus driver with the Washington Parish Schools. Survived by: Wife of 25 years: June Rose Thomas of Franklinton, Daughters and sons in law: Angelique Thomas and Winston Ard of Silver Creek, GA, Dixie Lynn and Guy Sherman of Holly Springs, NC, Son: Richard Copp of Franklinton, Grandchildren: Tori Richelle and Tommy Waldrep, Alexander Michael Sherman, Matthew Ryan Sherman and Samantha Nicole Sherman, 2 Great-grandchildren: Richea Jayden Bertoniere and Selena Marie Waldrep, 2 Sisters and brothers in law: Pauline and Paul Lumpkin of Franklinton, Betty and Kermit Hughes of Tylertown, 2 Sisters in law: Jean Thomas, Susan Thomas both of Franklinton He was preceded in death by his parents Alphus and Hattie Thomas, 2 brothers James N. Thomas and Glen B. Thomas, a sister and brother in law Thelma and Ray Watson. Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home from 6 PM until 10 PM Sunday, March 11, 2007 and after 9 AM Monday, March 12, 2007. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel with Eld. Don Jacobs and Eld. Lerand Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery.
