  Bogalusa Daily News (Died Jan. 8, 2006) BOGALUSA - Ray C. Watson, 76, a resident of Bogalusa, died Sunday, Jan. 8 in Ochsner Foundation Hospital, Jefferson, La. A native of Washington Parish and Bogalusa, he was a member of Monroe Street Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara J. and Allen Snow of Clark Range, Tenn. and C. Kay and Dale Medley of Baton Rouge; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald C. and Brenda Watson of Bogalusa; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Myrtle Lee Watson Miller of Mt. Hermon and Maudine "Susan" Watson Pearson of Oralaska, Tex.; one brother, Frankie Watson of Bogalusa; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Thomas Watson; his parents, Edward William Watson and Minnie Stellar Primes Watson; a sister, Ruby Dean Watson Stanley; and a brother, Lindsy Watson. Visitation was held yesterday, Jan. 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. in Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home and continued today at 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Chad Jenkins will officiate, with interment in the Thomas Cemetery.
