"Son of Fred & Myrtle Nickerson Clem; married Ruth Voorhees March 5, 1933 in Normal, IL; employed by Roland's Department Store in downtown Bloomington, IL for 57 years, retiring in 1983. Served in World War II with the Army in the 188th Engineers Battalion.
Merle & his wife, Ruth were good friends of my parents. My dad and Merle loved to hunt with their Beagles. I have a lot of fond memories of Merle & Ruth Clem." (Credited to Connie 14 May 2016.)
