Notes - Mildred Cooper Johnson, 84, of Harrisville passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012, at her residence. Born in Tylertown on January 26, 1928, a daughter of the late Vera (Duncan) and Willis Rushing, Mildred is survived by four daughters, Jean (Danny) Williams, Judy (Doug) Grantham, Jill (Mike) Zattoni, all of Harrisville, and Jan (John) White, of Louisville; a brother, Willis (Bonnie) Rushing of Tylertown; and two sisters, Margie (Ray) Prescott, of Georgetown, Texas and Lucille (Buddy) Jarvis, of Pearland, Texas. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, James Edward (Jimbo) Cooper.
Arrangements were entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
Visitation was Monday, October 15, 2012, from 5-6 p.m. at Harrisville Baptist Church . The religious service followed at 6 pm with Dr. David Sartin officiating. Graveside service and interment was Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Lakewood Memorial Park on Clinton Boulevard, Jackson.
