  Copeland Oaks, Sebring, OH: "Reunited". Age 92, of Copeland Oaks, Sebring, Ohio went home to be with the Lord and to be reunited with her husband of 68 years, Arthur, who passed away in September 2012. She was born in Rochester, NY, May 23, 1924, the daughter of the late Marvin and Jeanette (Smyth) Smith. She had been involved in her Church, the Boy Scouts, Special Olympics, various garden clubs, and a caregiver to many. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur; sister, Janice Sipple; brother, Marvin Smith and son, Gregory. She is survived by son, Jeffrey and daughter-in-law, Debra of Canton; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Nieschwitz of Malvern; daughter-in-law, Mary Van Dusen of Hamburg, NY; sister-in-law, Martha Smith of Clark Mills, NY and three grandchildren, Sithean, Michael and Danny Gebhard also of Hamburg, NY; nieces and a nephew. Affectionately referred to as "Sarge" for her leadership roles throughout the community, she will be dearly missed. A private graveside service to celebrate the lives of Arthur and Shirley will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Henrietta, NY.
