- The Webster Herald, Nov 30, 1950: Julia Schlegel Passes Away After Short Illness; Julia Ann Schlegel, 46, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 1950 at her home at 1019 Gravel Road after an illness of a week. She was a native of West Webster, active in church and community affairs, including the West Webster Fire Department Auxilliary of which she was a past president, Webster chapter American Red Cross, Webster Community Chest, Webster Chaper OES. She was also co-chairman of the West Webster Home Bureau and a member of the West Webster Community Methodist Church. She survived by her husband, Earl G. Schlegel, one daughter, Nancy, and a son, Danny, a sister Mrs. Charles Doerflinger of Rochester, also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 1 at 2:30 at Smith and Lotze Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Horton officiating. Burial will be in West Webster Cemetery
