  • Notes
    • William Lloyd Cooper was born in Clark county, Illinois in @ 1820 to Amos and Hannah(Lloyd) Cooper. In @ 1838 he married Elizabeth Beams, and the family moved to Stephenson county Illinos, where my g-g-grandfather Henry Wesley Cooper was born. William and Elizabeth had several more Children, Elizabeth Beams Cooper(who married Franklin Boyd), James Cooper(who married Clorinda Evans) Hannah( who married a man named Haas, and lived and died in Wisconsin), Mary(who married a man named Smull)and at least two other daughters. William was a farmer, and the family live very close to Rock Grove. William died in @ 1880,and was buried in the Rock Grove Cemetery, I have no knowledge of Plot or burial number. Elizabeth and the rest of the family, except one of the married daughters who remained in Rock Grove, moved to Plainfield, Bremer county, Iowa to be near Henry Wesley's brother, James, who had moved there in @ 1879. In 1880, Henry and his family also moved to Plainfield, Bremer county, Iowa from Clay county, Missouri to escape the violence of the area. Elizabeth died in Plainfield in 1898, and is buried in the "Horton" cemetery, there. Again I find no reference to William or his burial in the Rock Grove cemetery record on-line. Again, is there an area in the Rock Grove cemetery that is unmarked? Any knowledge would be of great interest. Nick L. Nahach
