A brilliant wedding occurred at the home of Chas. Helmer, at Mays Point, Thursday evening when his daughter, Miss Emma Helmer, was married to James Marriott, of South Butler. Rev. E. Hoxie officiated and Arthur McGraw of Clyde acted as best Man and Miss Jessie Carris of Savannah as bridesmaid. The presents were very elaborate and valuable and evidence the high esteem in which the contracting parties were held by their friends.
