- Injuries Caused Death--The death of Bert E. Grey, aged 48 years, occurred Tuesday at his home from injuries sustained Monday evening when the automobile he was driving left the highway between Fleming Hill and Venice. He is believed to have suffered a heart attack while operating the machine, for he had been ailing from that cause for some time. No bones were broken, his injuries being internal.
Mr. Grey was a member of Genoa Star Lodge of Odd Fellows and of Auburn Encampment. He was a past district deputy of the same order. Mr. Grey was born in Venice and practically all of his life was spent there. A brother Delmar Grey, was killed last year when he was struck by an automobile while walking along the highway in Genoa.
Surviving Mr. Grey are his widow, Mrs. Bessie Moe Grey; a son Harold Grey of Venice; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Parmley and Mrs. Stella McCabe, both of Venice; a brother Fred Grey of Venice; an aunt, Mrs. Mary Richardson of Poplar Ridge; an uncle, John Hoagland of North Lansing. The funeral will be held from the home at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. Rev. Ralph Walker, pastor of the Central Church Christ Disciples will conduct the services. Interment will be in the Genoa Cemetery.
