  Ethel Buchanan, 90, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017. She was born July 18, 1926 in Guilford, Indiana, daughter of the late David and Gertrude (Wuest) Fox. Ethel was a member of the Aurora American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to spend time working in her yard and also worked at Will's Grill after she retired from Schenley. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Michael) Kopec of Lawrenceburg, IN; 2 grandchildren, Sarah (Tony) Ferrell, Laura (Brian) Finan; one great grandchild, Nolan Ferrell; and her beloved dog Marcie. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Gertrude Fox; her loving husband, Carl Buchanan, Jr.; brother, Dayle Fox; and her sister, Margaret Scholle. Family and friends will be received on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 11 am to 1 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Friday, January 13, 2017 at 1 pm, with Pastor Scott Stephans officiating. Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana. Contributions may be made to the Safe Passage, 125 E George St, Batesville, IN 47006.
