    • Rochester Times Union, Monday, Feb. 13, 1928. Funeral Services for the Late E. J. Roeper, Veteran Mail Carrier. Edward J. Roeper died unexpectedly at his home, 321 Seward Street Thursday evening. He had been in the Postal Service since 1907 and carried a route in the vicinity of Monroe Avenue and Chestnut Street for 15 years. He was a past president of Rochester Branch 210 National Association of Letter Carriers. At the time of his death he was a delegate to the Service Council. He was a member of the Brotherhood Bible Class of Cornhill M.E. Church. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Dr. E. J. Rosengrant from his late residence this afternoon. Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

      He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Edith B. Roeper, one son, Edward J. Roeper, Jr., 4 brothers, Charles, George, August, and Albert all of Rochester and one uncle, William Roeper of Wyoming.
