- The death of Christian Lippert, father of Mrs. Leslie Sarr of Port Byron, occured at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Martin Dawson at Clyde, on Tuesday, September 4th. He was 63 years of age.
Mr. Lippert had been ill for some time and three weeks previous to his death submitted to an operation for cancer at the Barber Hospital in Lyons. The operation was believed to be successful and he improved sufficiently to be removed to his daughter's home, where he passed away a few weeks later.
Funeral services were held from the Dawson home on Thursday, September 6th at 1 o'clock and at 2:30 at the Dutch Reform Church in Tyre. Interment was made in the Dutch Reform Cemetery.
Mr. Lippert was well known in Port Byron and vicinity, where he had resided for several years ith his daughter. The two daughters. Mrs Leslie Sarr of Port Byron and Mrs. Martin Dawson of Clyde and five grandchildren survive.
