  daughter of Mark and Mary Compton Owens first husband was Dennis Shanahan. They had two daughters Mary and Anna and one son John. After Dennis' death, Katherine married Luke Keon, a widower with several children from his first marriage (multiple variations of spelling-Kowen or McKeon also appear in Brockport records). They had the following children: William, Francis, James, and Catherine. Francis spelled his last name as Kowen and lived in Rochester. unmarked grave at Mt. Olivet. Buried on 6 Nov 1901 per Church of the Nativity death records Death noted in 7 Nov 1901 Brockport Republic "Mrs. Katherine Keon died at her home on Clark St. Sunday, aged sixty five years. Mrs. Keon was a sister of Mr. John Owens. She is survived by two children, Mrs. Chas. Himes, of Rochester, and Frank Keon of this village. The funeral was held from the Catholic Church yesterday."
