Waterloo Courier, Sunday, January 29, 1950: Funeral services for Mrs. Sara O. Allen, 85 of 616 Longfellow avenue, who died Wednesday, January 25, 1950 at Allen Memorial hospital of complications incident to an advanced age, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Presbyterian church in Oelwein, Iowa. Burial will be in the Oelwein cemetery. The body will remain at the Parrott & Wood funeral home until tomorrow morning when it will be taken to the Hintz funeral home in Oelwein.
