| Notes |
- Monroe County Mail, Fairport, NY 1908-1910
Charles Pfenninger, who lived about 2 miles east of the village died Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester where he was taken for an operation. He had been sick for a long time, his disease baffling the skill of all the doctors and it was finally decided to have an operation performed. This was on Monday and he was found to have an ulceration of the stomach and to be in such a condition that there was no hope of his recovery. The remains were brought to Fairport by Undertaker Shaw and the funeral will be held from the house tomorrow at one o'clock. Mr. Pfenninger was a well to do farmer, having resided on his farm east of the village for a number of years. He was an active member of the Free Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife and four children (two sons and two daughters: R.D., Howard, Ida and Edna) all living at home. Also one brother and three sisters: Mrs. William Roeper of Wyoming, Mrs. William Meyer of Rochester, Mrs. John Lusink and Daniel Pfenninger of West Webster.
