- MASON CITY - Robert “Bob” Sinnott, 81, of 817 N. Adams Ave., died Monday (Dec. 8, 2003) at Mercy Medical Center- North Iowa. Inurnment will be held at Elmwood St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City, at a later date. Military honors will be conducted by members of Mason City Veterans Memorial Association. Robert Martin Sinnott, the son of William and Myrtle (Cullins) Sinnott was born June 12, 1922, at Mason City. He received his education from the Mason City School System. On March 12, 1943, he enlisted in the United States Army/Air Force. He was honorably discharged on Jan. 25, 1946. Bob is survived by his wife, Charlotte, of Mason City, three sons, Danny Sinnott of Reno, Nev., Michael and Dalene Sinnott of Cedar Rapids, and William and Shirley Sinnott of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Michael Jr. and Matthew Sinnott of Cedar Rapids, Mark and Sarah Sinnott of Cedar Falls, and Megan and Melissa Sinnott of Waterloo. Also surviving is one sister-in-law, Genevieve Sinnott, of Oceanside, Calif.; and one brother-in-law, Chuck Sernett of Bella Vista, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Arnold Sinnott, one sister Betty Sernett, and one granddaughter Michelle Sinnott. Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, (641) 423-2372.
