- Myrtis Mary Rushing Duncan, 82, of McComb, died July 5, 2003, at her residence.
Visitation is 5 to 8 tonight at Catchings Funeral Home in McComb, and 9 a.m. Wednesday until services there at 11 a.m. The Rev. Kenneth Smith and the Rev. Ronnie Walters will officiate. Burial will be in Pike Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Duncan was born Oct. 23, 1920, in Walthall County. She was the daughter of Jesse Monroe Rushing and Pearlie Mae Johnson Rushing. She was a homemaker and a charter member of the McComb Church of God.
Mrs. Duncan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Webster H. Duncan; five brothers, George Harvey Bracey, Wesley Arwed Bracey, Hilton Rushing, J.M. Rushing and Lloyd Rushing; and two sisters, Nora Mae Whittington and Dorothy Jean Sanders.
Survivors include five sons and four daughters-in-law, J.L. and Vanetta Duncan of Summit, Wendell and Luci Duncan of Martinez, Ga., Charles and Charlene Duncan of Anchorage, Alaska, Bobby and Sandra Duncan of Cleveland, Ohio, and Michael Duncan of McComb; one brother, Hoyt Rushing of Southhaven, Ma.; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Reggie Duncan, Clay Duncan, Jesse Duncan, Scott Duncan, Shane Duncan, Jason Duncan, Kevin Duncan, John Duncan and Jacob Duncan.
