• Notes

  Theodore [known as T. J. and Theodore] and his wife Charlotte run a retail grocery store and are first found so far in the 1865 census as owners of a grocery store in Rochester, New York and again in the 1880 c. and after. He was born in Prussia and his wife in Hesse. All of their children were born in the United States. They have a large family and many of them work in the family business as clerks in their store in Rochester, New York. But three of their children were born in Wisconsin. The family lives on North Street and that is the sure link with Wilhelmina Kenning who married Andrw Wegman. After Andrew's death, Wilhelmina lives with her brother, Herman Kenning and her sister Emma in the home on North in Rochester.
