Myles L. Bacon, 87, of Marshfield, MO formally of Prattsburgh, NY died suddenly on August 21, 2015 due to a House explosion. He was born August 30, 1927 in Endicott, NY. Son of Lloyd and Grace (Alexander) Bacon. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Ellen (Bacon) Kingsley, May 17, 2015.
Myles served in the United States National Guard in 1950, being a Private, first Class in the 122nd Aircraft Control & Warning Sqdn in Indiana Air National Guard. Then he served in the United States Army as a Private First Class from December 1954 to April 1956. He was Honorably Discharged. Myles worked at McConnell’s in Prattsburgh for many years prior to his move. Myles loved the country living.
Survivors include a sister Arlene Muth of CA., five daughters, Vickie (Sjoerd) VanLune Ontairo Canada, Dawn Guido, Marshfiled, MO., Doris Bacon Canandaigua, NY, Lois (Chris) Zsarny SantaPaula, CA., Judy (Roger) Clouch Choctaw, OK.. Grandchildren Adam & Ryan VanLune of Canada, Ernest Guido of ND, Anthony and Angela Guido of MO., Marcia Martin of CA., Tammy Weaver of Almond, NY., Rodney Zimmerman of Pulteney, NY., Abigail Zsarny of CA., Teresa Dionne of GA, Crystal Bush of OH, Thomas Bush of KS., Katrina Clouch of KS., There are as well 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be at the Bath VA Cemetery on Friday May 20 at 11:00 with a gathering at the JB’s afterwards.
