  Mrs. A. T. Holmes funeral rites held Tuesday Funeral services for Mrs. Amazon T. Holmes, whose son, William Holmes is a Tylertown resident, were conducted from Ginn Funeral Home Chapel here Tuesday. Mrs. Holmes died Monday at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Shelton Harvey of New Orleans, LA. She was 92. The Rev. Bartis Harper, pastor of East Columbia Baptist Church, officiated at the final rites. Ginn Funeral Home was in charge with interment in Fortenberry Cemetery at Foxworth. A native of Marion County, Mrs Holmes was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Turnage. She married Sam Holmes. Pallbearers included Jesse Holmes, Willie Holmes, Alvin Holmes, Shelby Holmes, Harold Frazer, and O F Dier. Survivors include four daughters; Mrs. Shelton Harvey, Mrs. Oscar Magee, Mrs. Kert Gonska and Mrs. Nick Sagona, all of New Orleans, LA. In addition, she is survived by two sons, William Holmes of Tylertown and Herschel Holmes of Foxworth, 16 grandchilden and 20 great grandchildren.
