- Beatrice B. Busker, 89, of Fergus Falls, died peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004, at Lake Region Hospital, Fergus Falls.
She was born on Jan. 19, 1915, in Yellow Medicine County, Echo, Minn., to Wilhelm and Minnie Macklanburg. She was baptized in Echo, and as a child, she moved with her family to the Deer Creek, Minn., area. She was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Deer Creek. She attended rural school in Otter Tail County and high school in Deer Creek.
On Dec. 5, 1935, she married Howard Busker at Trinity Lutheran Church in Deer Creek. After their marriage, the couple settled in Wadena, Minn. In 1951, they moved to Fergus Falls until 1955,, when they returned to Wadena.
She worked for many years for the Red Owl store and later worked at Wesley Hospital, retiring from there in 1987. Her memories of the staff and working with the patients at the hospital were always dear to her. She later moved to Fergus Falls and resided at the Paige Home until the time of her death.
Beatrice loved her family, and they were always her top priority. Family gatherings were of the utmost importance to her. She found much joy in attending functions of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a previous member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Wadena and was active in Evangelism there. Most recently, she was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls, participating in LWML and Bible Studies.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard; brother, Herbert Macklanburg; two sisters, Elvira Helmrichs and Leona Newell; and grandson, Tim Trosvig.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Selmer, Jr.) Trosvig, of Fergus Falls, and Janice (Bill) Ochoa, of Dover Delaware; grandchildren, Kevin Trosvig, of Edina, Minn., Karen (Alan) Barry, of Fergus Falls, Tom (Sandy) Harthan, of Deer Creek, Todi Harthan, Tami Harthan and Kim Ochoa, of Dover, Del.; eight greatgrandchildren: Cory Trosvig, Heather, Beau and Marlee Barry, Tom and Tyler Harthan, Trevor Grimes and Erin Schockley; two sisters, Alida (Tom) Monson and Dorothy Busker; and two sisters-in-law, Rose Busker and Carole Macklanburg. Also surviving are
numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. with a 3 p.m. public prayer service at Olson Funeral Home. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.
Service: 11 a.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls

Burial: 2 p.m. Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Deer Creek, Minn.
