    • CHESTER - A memorial mass for Mrs. Corinne M. Engel will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father William Pentis officiating. Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens.

      Mrs. Engel, 91, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Lexington Medical Center.

      Born in Rochester, N.Y. on Aug. 24, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Albert Dean and Margaret Gilligan Bowerman. A graduate of Our Lady of Mercy High School in Rochester, Mrs. Engel was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

      Survivors include two sons, John Engel and his wife, Carol, of Rochester and Jim Engel and his wife, Kathy, of Naples, N.Y.; a daughter, Peggy Strickland and her husband, Tommy, of Lexington; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo John Engel; and a son, Bill Engel.

      Memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 110 West End St., Chester.

      Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, is in charge of arrangements.
