- Daniel D. DeGraw, 48, of Beach Road, Wolcott, Conn., died Saturday, August 14th, 2004, at the Holyoke Medical Center in Mass. He was born December 31, 1955 in Binghamton, N.Y. He was the son of June (Ford) DeGraw-Slater and the late Preston DeGraw. Mr. DeGraw was a Navy veteran, having served during peacetime. Mr. DeGraw was an engineer for N.I.G. Energy of Devon, Conn., with over 15 years of service. He enjoyed camping, motorcycling and playing with racecars. He loved the outdoors. Besides his mother of Marathon, N.Y.; he is survived by a son, Daniel DeGraw, Wolcott, Conn.; a daughter, Rebecca DeGraw, Springville, Pa.; five brothers, Richard DeGraw, Gainesville, Fla., Jim DeGraw, Marathon, N.Y., Bill and Adam DeGraw, Charlotte, N.C., and Nate DeGraw, Cortland, N.Y.; three sisters, Ann Zelsnack, Tipp City, Ohio, Wendy VanDerhuevel, Sidney, Ohio, and Dawn Zupancic, Freeville, N.Y. Among survivors are four sisters-in-law, Mrs. Richard (Dee) DeGraw, Gainesville, Fla., Mrs. Jim (Lonnie) DeGraw, Marathon, N.Y., Mrs. Adam (Carmen) DeGraw, Charlotte, N.C., and Mrs. Nate (Gina), Cortland; three brothers-in-law, Tony Zelsnack, Ohio, Keith VanDerhuevel, Sidney, Ohio, and Sid Lewis, Freeville, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends and family may call at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott, on Wednesday, August 18th, 2004, from 5 to 8 p.m. Contributions in his name may be made to the charity of one's choice.
