  Edith Marie Blasdel, 101, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014. She was born March 21, 1913 in Pendelton County, Kentucky, daughter of the late George and Chloe (McMillen) Bentle. Edith was a member of the Greendale First Church of Christ; RSVP; and taught piano lessons for 30 years. She is survived by her son, Paul (Pattie) Blasdel of Ladera Ranch, CA; daughter, Brenda (Dexter) Higgins of Memphis, TN; brother, Willis Bentle of Lawrenceburg, IN; sister, LaVern Blasdel of Lawrenceburg, IN; 3 grandchildren, Matthew Blasdel, Elizabeth George, Paul Higgins; and 5 great grandchildren, Machaela, Gwyneth, Faith, Brookelynn, and George Clarence "GC". She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin W Blasdel; and her parents, George and Chloe Bentle. Family and friends will be received on Monday, April 28, 2014 from 5pm to 8pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Greendale First Church of Christ, Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 11am, with Pastor Tim Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Gibson Cemetery, Bright, Indiana.
