| Notes |
- Mooers - Gary G. Jock, 76, formerly of the LaValley Road, Mooers, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at the Evergreen Valley Nursing Home in Plattsburgh.
He was born in Malone, Sept. 16, 1938, the son of the late, Wesley and Edna (Pepper) Jock. He grew up on Cooks Corners in North Bangor and graduated from Franklin Academy.
He was a longtime resident of Mooers. You could catch Gary most nights having a coffee with the guys at the restaurant or at the local fire department where he was a volunteer firefighter and founding member and an EMT of the rescue squad. He was also a member and past president of the Clinton County Fireman's Association. In the winter he would hunt with his friends, brothers, nephews or his son. In the summer, he loved to be on his boat fishing.
Always a hard worker, Gary worked at various jobs as a young man. He spent many years working for Coca Cola while helping raise three children with his former wife, Marilyn Sands. He was owner of Pat and Gary's Big and Tall shop in Plattsburgh and didn't think twice about helping his customers with fit or delivery of their clothes. Following retirement he enjoyed greeting and waiting on people at Walmart in Plattsburgh.
Left to cherish his memories include his three children, David (Sandra) Jock, James (Debbi) Jock of Cadyville, and Michele (Rocco) Orlando of Plattsburgh; two brothers , Robert (Marie) Jock of Brushton and Don (Janice) Jock of Lyons; grandchildren, Eric, Kelli, Kathy, and Ashley Jock and Gabrielle and Shawn Orlando; his first wife, Marilyn Williams; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Gary was predeceased by his wife of 31 years Patricia (Rickson) Jock.
