  Ibera B. Garner, 89, went home to be with the Lord on July 14, 2016 at her home in Clinton, MS. Ibera was born on July 16, 1926 in Columbia, MS to the late Merida Rufus and Lura Rushing Broom. Ibera was a lifetime member of West Jackson Baptist Church and of Midway Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and a choir member. Ibera loved the Lord, her church, and friends. She loved her family with all of her heart. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 18, 2016 from 11:30 - 1:00pm at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson, MS. A chapel service will be held on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 1:00pm at Lakewood Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow the services at Lakewood Memorial Park. Ibera was preceded in death by her husband, James Milton Garner. She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Garner Pepper (Glynn), and Kaye Garner Pryor; her granddaughters, Courtney Pryor Stokely (Justin), and Katie Price Rogers (Jonathan); one sister, Virginia Broom Welch; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
