      Irma Tynes Carr Boone, 91 of Monticello, MS , died Monday, April 15, 2013 at The Arbor in Ridgeland, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Monticello United Methodist Church in Monticello, MS. Burial will be in Tynes Family Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home of Monticello, MS is in charge of arrangements. 601-587-2573
      Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 12-2 PM at Monticello United Methodist Church .
      Mrs. Boone was born in Lawrence County, MS on June 8, 1921. She was the daughter of George Robert Carr Sr. and Leona Tynes Carr of Monticello, MS. Mrs. Boone attended Monticello High School, Hinds Community College, and she graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi. She married I. V. Boone in 1942 and they lived in Collins, Prentiss, and returned to Monticello where they spent 40 wonderful years together. Mr. Boone died in 1985. Mrs. Boone was an educator, who loved her students she taught and enjoyed seeing her students achive in life. She was an active member of the Monticello United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school, worked with the youth, sang in the choir, was active in the United Methodist Women, and served on many church boards and commitees. Her church and her church family were a vital part of her life. She loved life to the fullest and enjoyed having a god laugh with everyone. Her faith was a strong part of her life and it formed her life and her actions. She was also a member of the Riverside Garden Club, Delta Kappa Gamma. She loved to read, work in her yard and enjoyed Mississippi State football to the fullest.
