  • Notes
    • Norman married Mary Ruth Strimple on 14 Oct 1950. They had four children: Debra Kaye Nowlin (m. Leo Eli Ivans); Denise Ann Nowlin (m. Kenneth Samuel Miller); Dawn Marie Nowlin (m. Mark Alan Sprague); and Delmar Eugene Nowllin (m. Malenda Bentley). Norman graduated from Bright, IN, High School in 1944 and worked on his Dad's farm and did custom hay bailing and worked in the feed mill. Three weeks after his marriage to Mary, he was called into service where he spent 18 months in Japan during the Korean War. In 1962 Norman and Mary bought the store in Bright, IN, that is now the Trading Post, but at that time it was called The Jot Em Down Store; the store was sold in 1973. Norm then drove a school bus for 14 years. Following Mary's death in 1981, Norm married Joyce Elaine (Cavander) Dobbins on 05 Feb 1988; Joyce had four children with her first husband.
