- Pauline W Lamont, age 59, died Tuesday morning, April 23, 1974 at St Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a brief illness.
Pauline W. Berlin was born on a farm northeast of Monticello to Fred and Anna (Oltman) Berlin. She received her early education in the Monticello schools, graduating from the Monticello High school in 1933.
At an early age she was confirmed in St Matthews Lutheran Church, Monticello.
On August 24 1939 she was united in marriage to Victor K. Lamont in the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
The couple have always made their home in rural Hopkinton on their present home. She was a member of the U Go I Go Club. She was noted for her kindness to others and was a great lover of animals and pets and will be sadly missed by her family, relatives and friends.
She is survived by her husband and one son, Victor Lamont Jr. of Hopkinton. Also surviving is her mother Mrs. Anna Berlin, Monticello. She was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Maxine.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, April 26, 1974 at one-thirty o'clock at the First Presbyterian church and internment in Hopkinton Cemetery, Hopkinton.
Rev. Paul K. H. Figge officiated at the services.
Honorary pallbearers were Truman House, Clyde Dunlap, Raymond Joseph and Wayne Thompson. Casket bearers were Wilford Kleitsch, Maurice Kirkwood, David Heerer, Galen Beitz, Joe Picray and Ronald Gra
