- William Stanley Gehring, 87, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. He was born October 1, 1927 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, son of the late Raymond and Hazel (Weeks) Gehring.
Bill was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the Elks; loved to travel on family vacations, especially to Myrtle Beach; loved to garden and play cards; was an avid golfer; and retired from the Board of Directors at UCB. He worked as a Postmaster. He was a very loving and generous father and grandfather.
He is survived by his son, Thomas (Wendy) Gehring; daughter, Joann (Thomas) Beatley; and 4 grandchildren, Jessica York, Leslie Bullock, Matthew Beatley, and Bill Beatley; and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Hazel Gehring; and his loving wife wife, Lenore Ann Gehring.
Public graveside service will be held at Greendale Cemetery, Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 11am.
Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
Contributions may be made to the Tanner Valley United Methodist Church.
