- Willie Clay Allen, 73, of Pride, La., died Feb. 25, 2002, at his residence.
Visitation is 5-9 tonight at Catchings Funeral Home in McComb, continuing at 10 a.m. Wednesday until services there at 2 p.m. The Rev. Frank Easley will officiate. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery.
Mr. Allen was born June 4, 1928, in Sartinville. He was the son of George Allen and Anna Rushing Allen.
He was a member of the Christian Assembly Church in Slaughter, La.
Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Cannon Allen; and one brother-in-law, Herman "Shorty" Duncan.
Survivors include his wife, Elouise Duncan Allen of Pride; two sons and daughters-in-law, W. Clayton Allen and Lynn of Ethel, La., and Tommy Allen and Carolyn of Baker, La.; two daughters, Betty Ann Allen and Susan Hodges, both of Pride; two brothers, Dan Allen of McComb and Jim Allen of Nashville; two sisters, Marie Slay of Nashville and Ollie Joyce Comeaux of Fort Adams; three grandchildren, Tiffany Allen of Ethel, Amber Allen of Baker and Brock Allen of Baton Rouge, La.; three great-grandchildren, Chase Weiss, Caimen Allen and Kagen Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Melvin Comeaux, Willie Thornton, Gerald Bonds Sr., Stacey Slay, Bobby Boyd and Wayne Thornhill. Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Yates, Brock A. Allen, Alton McGuffee, Jim Allen and Jerry Allen.
