  • Notes
    • Canton Commercial Advertiser - Tuesday March 19, 1935
Mrs. Sarah Maria Vanderlinder Robinson, aged 80, widow of Samuel Robinson, died Wednesday morning, March 13, at the home of her son, George W. Robinson, on the Pierrepont road, where she had been tenderly cared for by her son and his wife.

Mrs. Robinson had been in failing health about three years and since Christmas had been practically bed-ridden.

A native of Roebuck, Ont., Canada, she came to this country where she was married 60 years ago to Samuel Robinson. Most of her life has been spent around Canton. She was born Nov 7, 1854, a daughter of Eli and Mary Gibbons Vanderlinder.

Two sons, George Wesley Robinson, at whose home she died, and Thomas Howard Robinson, Lisbon; a brother, James Vandelinder, DeKalb, and seven grandchildren.

Mrs. Robinson was a devoted mother, sacrificing for her sons at all times, placing always before them the highest ideals of life. Hers was a happy disposition and her home was one of good cheer and hospitality.
