LUBBOCK - Ruth Williams, 82, formerly of Tulia, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel with James Burns of Laguna Park Church of Christ in Laguna Park officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Hillsboro.
Mrs. Williams was born Nov. 5, 1926, in Hill County to Wilbur and Mamie Ozella Campbell Jordan. She married Clayton Williams in 1952.
Survivors include her husband; three children, Jerry Clayton Williams of Waxahachie and Gary Don Williams and Lisa Gaye Marmolejo, both of Lubbock; three sisters, Velva Kimbrow and Leora McLean, both of Hillsboro, and Bobbie Curlee of Waxahachie; and six grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.

Lucinda Dorothy Borchelt, 98, of Springfield died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002, at Regency Nursing Home.
She was born July 31, 1904, in Mattoon, the daughter of the Rev. Albert and Anna Decker Neuendorf. She married the Rev. Otto A. Borchelt in 1926; he died in 1992.
Mrs. Borchelt, a homemaker, was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church.
Survivors: three daughters, Betty Lou Schuler of Downers Grove, Allene (husband, Edgar) Hartmann of Verona, Mo., and Dolores (husband, David) Brammer of Tonawanda, N.Y.; a son, Donald (wife, Wanda) Borchelt of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services were held. Staab Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Mrs. Johnny P. Estes, 52, of Rt. 1, Elkhart, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Elkhart Baptist Church. Rev. U. Van Sickle, Rev. C. R. Crim, Rev. Collin Furr and Rev. John Kosier will officiate and burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Elkhart.
Mrs. Estes was born in Elkhart on December 16, 1908, and spent her entire life there. A member of the Elkhart Baptist Church, she died early Sunday in Houston following an illness of several months.
Pallbearers will be J. B. Parker, Benton Knott, Joe McDowell, Turner Jones, Clayton Parker and Calvin Durnell.
Survivors are her husband; step-mother, Mrs. Effie Curry of Houston; three sons, Howard, Johnny Lewis and James Dwight Estes, all of Elkhart; two daughters, Mrs. Billie E. Acock and Mrs. Fern E. Lyndell Roberts Swanby, 86, of Summit, MS, died on October 25, 2014 at her residence.
Visitation will be Wednesday at Jones Family Funeral Services from 9:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Tylertown Cemetery. Rev. Ed Sudduth will officiate.
Mrs. Swanby was born on January 2, 1928 in Tylertown, MS. She was the daughter of Lucious and Nettie Foils Roberts.
She was manager of Dog and Suds Restaurant.
Mrs. Swanby was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, J.M. Roberts, Hubert Roberts and, Edward Roberts; three sisters, Pauline Holmes, Bernice Rushing, and Bernie Boyd; one grandson, Jason McKenzie.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Swanby of Summit; two sons, Dan McKenzie and wife Patsy of McComb and Tony Ladner and wife Jennifer of Indianapolis, Indiana; Special friends, Gail Berry and Jena Bryant and Bubba her special Canine; two grandchildren, Tony Ladner Jr. and Scott Ladner both of Indianapolis, Indiana and two great grandchildren, Breanna McKenzie and Destiny McKenzie both of McComb.

Greece: Matt died peacefully at home on November 9, 2014 at age 50. Predeceased by his parents, Donald & Sheila Maas of Chili, NY. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 20 years Annette (Jorolemon) Maas; loving children, Ashley June and Austin David; sister, Martha (Tim) Daley; brother, Martin (Holly) Maas; son-in-law of Edgar "Eddo" (Kristen) Jorolemon; brother-in-laws, Jeff Jorolemon, Jerry (Chris) Jorolemon; sister-in-law, Pam Jorolemon; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
Matt was a veteran of the United States Army, he worked hard as a foreman in the commercial roofing industry and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a kind, compassionate person and will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched. Macedon: Nancy passed away on November 30, 2018 at age 87. She was born to Earl and Julia Schlegel. Nancy was also predeceased by her husband, Frederick “Larry” Kier and brother, Daniel Schlegel. She is survived by her children, David (Jackie) Kier and Julie (Bob) Bittner; grandchildren, Caitlin and Kelly Kier, Sean and Erin Murphy; niece and nephews.
Nancy was a long time and active member of Lincoln Baptist Church. She worked as tax collector for the Town of Walworth for over 20 years and at the same time was a homemaker, raising her family. Nancy was an avid book reader and enjoyed making different ceramic crafts.
A funeral service for Nancy will be held on Tuesday, December 4, at 1 PM at Lincoln Baptist Church, 4966 Lincoln Rd., Macedon, New York 14502. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery.

Malcolm Chester McIver, Jr., Presbyterian minister and educator, died Friday November 4, 2011 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was born September 2, 1917, in Maysville, North Carolina, the son of the late Ruth Hiers Fogle and Malcolm Chester McIver, Sr., grandson of the late Rev. Malcolm McNair and Flora Crawford McIver. With his parents, he moved to Wilmington in 1920 where the family became lifelong members of First Presbyterian Church.
Malcolm McIver graduated from New Hanover High School in the class of 1934. He earned the B.A. degree from Centre College of Kentucky, 1941, where he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. In 1944 he graduated from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary with the B.D. degree. He received an honorary D.D. degree from Centre College in 1956, and earned the PhD degree from New College of the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1958. In 1968, he studied at the Ecumenical Institute in Celigny, Switzerland. His most treasured achievement was the Eagle Scout award while a member of Troop 214, First Presbyterian Church.
Dr. McIver served as a chaplain in the United States Navy during World War II with duty in the Pacific. After the war, he was called to be the Presbyterian campus minister to students at the University of Alabama, 1946-1952; he served as director of Campus Christian Life for the Presbyterian Church, U.S., 1954-1959, after which he was called to be dean of faculty at the Presbyterian school of Christian Education, Richmond, Virginia (now Union Presbyterian Seminary).
In 1981, he retired and returned to Wilmington, where he became active in the Presbytery of Coastal Carolina, and served as interim minister in several churches in the Presbytery. He and his wife volunteered with the Board of World Missions to serve on special assignments in Asia, Africa, South America and the South Pacific. For twenty years he was a volunteer income tax assistant for the senior citizens of New Hanover County.
In 2000 Dr. McIver was honored by the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church,(USA) for his many years of service to higher education, including his role as dean and professor of Christian Education, his leadership in campus ministry and his leadership during the social changes of the Civil Rights Movement. In 2003 he and his wife were recipients of the David and Vera medal for leadership in the Marriage Enrichment Movement in North America.
Dr. McIver is survived by his wife, Mildred Sneeden McIver; a daughter, Elizabeth McIver Rennie of Wilmington, N.C; a daughter-in-law, Rosellyn Olander McIver of Brenham, Texas; five grand¬children; two great grandchildren; a sister, Flora McIver Trulove and husband, Henry of Richmond, Virginia; a brother, Randolph D. McIver and wife, Jessie of Colonial Heights, Virginia; and Numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Malcolm C.McIver III and a granddaughter, Alice Cathryn McIver Ross.

Friends regret to hear that Mrs. Ernest Gearhart, who had been ill for some weeks, passed away at the Monticello Hospital at 2 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 1945. As Mary Neil, she was the only daughter of Alexander and Lilly Marshall Neil. She was born on the home farm east of Hopkinton, May 9, 1886, and attended the public schools here.
On February 19, 1913, her marriage to J. Ernest Gearhart took place, and the home was established here. They were parents to one son, Donald. Besides her husband and son, two grandsons, Charles Wayne and Donald Lyle, and one brother, Marshall Neil, survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, W.S. Neil and Earl Neil.
Mrs. Gearhart was a quiet unassuming lady and will be missed by the Presbyterian Church of which she was an active member.
Services were conducted at 1:30 at the home and 2"00 at the church Friday, August 31 in charge of Rev J. Venecklasen. Burial was made in the family lot in Hopkinton Cemetery.
About ten hours after Mrs. Gearhart's death, her father-in-law died in the Monticello hospital. He had been in feeble health. He was 86 years of age. | Neil, Mary (I2309)

Lillian then attended Lenox College in Hopkinton where she received her Normal Teaching Certificate in 1933. Lillian then helped farm the family farm. Lillian A. Lamont and Donald Gearhart were married February 21, 1940 at the Lamont Family Home. The couple farmed Southeast of Hopkinton. Donald preceded her in death on February 17, 1974. Lillian was a life long and active member of the United Presbyterian Church. She was the 2nd woman Deacon and Elder in the congregation and an active volunteer throughout the community. Margaret Kathleen Siebels Howie was born to Gerhardt and Helene Andreesen Siebels on May 19, 1925 at their farm at Langworthy, Iowa. At three the family moved to Anamosa, Iowa.
Margaret confirmed her faith at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Anamosa, on Palm Sunday April 2, 1939.
Margaret worked at Watkins Department Store and in 1942 she worked at the Reliance Shirt Factory. She graduated from Anamosa High School May 12, 1943. While in high school she took normal training and did her practice teaching at Stone City.
On October 6, 1943 she married Kenneth Howie from Monticello, Iowa at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church by Rev. Buesing. Kenneth and Margaret settled into the 100 year old ancestral home where Ken was born and died in 1997 after a long
illness. Margaret lived there until passing.
After marriage this city girl learned all that goes with farming, yard work, canning and care of their children. She was a Sunday School teacher at First Presbyterian Church, and Bible School teacher for many years. She was Worthy Matron of Eastern Star, very active in Rainbow for Girls and was Mother Advisor for several years. After Ken died she spent her time gardening, reading, quilting, and baking. She loved the outdoors, her flower beds and planted many trees. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, her parents Gerhardt and Helene Andreesen Siebels, a daughter Barbara Ann Howie in 1950. Margaret M. Maviglia, 88, of Lincoln, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Pahrump, NV.
Born July 3, 1928 to Thomas and Margaret (Hofer) Teehan in Detroit, she was a longtime resident of the area. On August 27, 1947, she married Antonio Maviglia, and they moved to Lincoln in 1965. Margaret worked for NEMSCA, with the Head Start program. She enjoyed crochet, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Annette (Victor) Fuentes of Pahrump, NV, her son Anthony (Shawn) Maviglia of Dundee, MI, seven grandchildren, Zachary and Aaron Fuentes, KT, Nicholas, and Madison Maviglia, Melissa Hoefer, and Ashley Minarik, and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio on June 4, 2008, two daughters, Antoinette Maviglia as an infant, and Tamara Maviglia in 2008, her son Michael Maviglia in 2010, and her brother Thomas P. Teehan on December 19, 2015.

Marian M. Kesselmayer, 79, of Pekin passed away at 11:30 AM Wednesday at her home.
She was born on March 8, 1932 in Altamont, Illinois to Arthur and Cordula Neuendorf Brauer. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother. She married Rev. Darwood Kesselmayer on June 18, 1955 in Altamont. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Michael (Cheryl) Kesselmayer Steven (Faye) Kesselmayer and David (Jennifer)Kesselmayer three daughters, Kathryn (Dan) Heisel, Kaye Shepherd and Karyn (Frank) McChrystal, fourteen grandchildren, Ashley Shepherd, Dan Kesselmayer, Megan McChrystal, Janyce Kesselmayer, Jenna Heisel, Nick Kesselmayer, Frank McChrystal, Katie Shepherd, Alissa Heisel, Emilie Kesselmayer, Leah Kesselmayer, Dylan Kesselmayer, Noah Kesselmayer and Garret Kesselmayer, two great grandchildren, and one brother, Kenneth (Charlotte) Brauer.
